Uniform Policy

 General Uniform and Other Regulations
The dress code must be observed by all students whose parents choose to send them to St. Patrick School. If disregarded, the student or the principal will call the parents and inform them of necessary changes. Required changes must be made as soon as possible. All students must come to school in uniform – changing at school in the mornings will not be allowed. Students who participate in activities at Perry Middle School during the school day are required to wear uniforms.

    - White undershirts or under garments must be worn under white shirts
    - No long sleeve shirts under polo shirts
    - No leggings
    - Hair should be of natural color; no hair dye, feathers, or inappropriate hair styles (such as but not limited to Mohawk)
    - K-5: no makeup

Out of Uniform Days: The second & fourth Wednesdays of the month are designated as 'Out of Uniform Day'. Students are allowed to be out of uniform and wear clothing of their choice as long as they bring $1.00 or an item for the food pantry. The money collected goes to various charities. These 'Out of Uniform' days are optional and the school uniform is always proper attire.  Students shall also have the opportunity to participate in school dress-up days. Dress-up days will generally be on the first Friday of the month and so the clothing which will be allowed shall be of a quality reflective of our Christian-school standards.   Refer to the lists below for uniform and dress-up requirements.

 P.E. Uniform for Grades 6-8
Students in grades 6-8 will be expected to dress for P.E. Students should wear a t-shirt, athletic shorts/pants and athletic shoes.

Girls: K-8

Blouses: Collared blouse - white
Sweater: Navy blue or burgundy
Sweatshirt: Navy blue, hunter green, or burgundy with St. Patrick logo 
(Sweatshirts may not be worn without a uniform shirt/blouse underneath)
Polo Shirts: White, navy blue, hunter green, or red, with or without St. Patrick logo. T-shirts are not allowed. 
Turtleneck: White
Jumper: Hunter classic navy plaid (as sold by Land's End), solid navy blue jumper
Slacks: Cords - navy blue or khaki (tan); Knits - navy blue; Chinos - navy blue or khaki (tan)
Skort/Skirt: Navy blue or khaki (tan) (Girls should wear shorts under skirts)
Capris: Navy blue or khaki (tan)
Walking shorts*: Navy blue or khaki (tan)
Belts: Must be worn if slacks/shorts have belt loops (Grades 4-8 only)
  • All blouses are to be tucked in.
  • Uniform blouses/polos or turtlenecks must be worn under sweatshirts.
  • All shoes are to be laced up and tied.
  • Anklets, crew or tube socks are required.
  • Sandals must be worn with socks except on out of uniform days. 
  • All shoes must have backs.  Flat shoes only.  No fashion boots are to be worn during the school day.
  • Students are required to wear athletic shoes on PE days.
  • Stud earrings are acceptable for girls only --- no hoops or dangling earrings, no nose rings, eyebrow rings, etc. are allowed.
  • All skirts/shorts are to adhere to the length of just above the knee.
  • Oversize or baggy shorts or pants are not allowed.
  • No coats or hooded sweatshirts are to be worn during school hours.
  • *Walking shorts may only be worn during the Fall months of August, September, to October 15th and in the Spring beginning April 15th to the end of the school year.

Dress-up Days 
Students shall have the opportunity to participate in school dress-up days. Dress-up days will generally be on a Mass day and so the clothing which will be allowed shall be of a quality reflective of our Christian-school standards.

Girls who choose to participate in the "dress-up" days may wear the following items:
  • Dresses/Skirts worn at length that is reflective of the uniform dress code
  • Blouse
  • Sweaters with a turtleneck or collared shirt worn underneath
  • Dressy walking shortsduring the months of May, June, August, and September
  • Slacks
  • Loose leggings that are reflective of the uniform dress code
  • No spaghetti strap tops
  • No short, shorts/skirts

Boys: K-8

Shirt: Solid white button-down collar oxford shirt 
Polo Shirt: White, navy blue, hunter green or red, with or without St. Patrick logo; T-shirts not allowed
Sweater: Navy blue or burgundy
Sweatshirt: Navy blue, burgundy, or hunter green with St. Patrick logo  (Sweatshirts may not be worn without a uniform shirt/polo underneath)
Slacks: Cords - Navy blue or khaki (tan); Chinos - Navy blue or khaki (tan) Walking shorts*: Navy blue or khaki (tan)
Belts: Must be worn if slacks/shorts have belt loops (Grades 4-8 only)

  • Sandals must be worn with socks, except on out of uniform days.

  • No coats or hooded sweatshirts are to be worn during school hours.
  • *Walking shorts may only be worn during the Fall months of August, September, to October 15th and in the Spring beginning April 15th to the end of the school year.
  • Boys will not be allowed to wear earrings, nose rings, eyebrow rings, etc. while at school.
  • The hair length for boys shall be no longer than the bottom of the shirt collar. It shall be clean, styled, and combed.
  • Middle School boys are to be clean shaven.

  • Sweater with a turtleneck or collared shirt worn underneath
  • Dressy walking shorts during the months of May, June, August, and September
  • Dress pants
  • Dress slacks
