My reason for teaching: I teach to share God’s love and serve families in partnering with them in their child’s growth.
What I enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I most enjoy the families and children I serve at St. Pat’s and the Perry community. They are family!

My why for teaching: I love to see the excitement and joy in a child when they understand something new or master a challenge.
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I enjoy teaching at St. Patrick’s School to foster an understanding and love of Jesus Christ. In Kindergarten, we take time to read directly from a children’s bible and learn about the story’s at a kids level. Many times this is the first time a child has heard of one of God’s miracles.
1st Grade: Amy Smith
I went to a small Catholic elementary school in Greenwood, Indiana. I then transferred to the public school for middle and high school. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education Endorsement from Indiana University.
Favorite School Subject:
I enjoy reading and studying our language. I also love art because I get to relax and create during that time.
My why for teaching:
I chose to teach at a Catholic school because in life, Jesus calls us to make disciples. As a Catholic school teacher, we have the amazing opportunity to do this each day with His children.
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School:
I enjoy being a part of the Saint Patrick's family. This school is truly a community that raises each other up and leads one another towards Christ. I see many future saints here!
2nd Grade: Rachel Rothmeyer

Favorite School Subject: Reading and Math
My why for teaching: I teach because I love seeing how much the students grow from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. They grow so much in so many different areas: academic, social, in their personalities, problem solving. It's completely amazing knowing that I help shape them into growing into the person that they are meant to be!
What you enjoy most about St. Patrick's School: I enjoy the small-community that is within St. Patrick's School. It really is like a little family. Everyone is always willing to help out.

My why for teaching: My "Why" for teaching is to see the joy that is brought to my students when they make new discoveries with their learning.
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I enjoy the opportunity of getting to incorporate Religion into all subject matter, the small class sizes, and family atmosphere.
4th Grade: Jeff Grange
Educational Background: Graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in Des Moines Iowa in 2010. I went to DMACC Urban Campus from the fall of 2010 and graduated in the summer of 2013. I went to Grand View University from the Fall of 2013 and Graduated in December of 2016.
Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject in school is Social Studies because I really enjoy studying history.
My why for teaching: My reason for teaching is because in school I struggled a lot. I want to help all students especially those who are struggling in school.
What am I enjoying most about Saint Patrick’s School: I enjoy the small atmosphere that creates a community, and the smaller class sizes. I also enjoy having faith incorporated in education. Saint Patrick’s School feels so much like a community, rather than just a place for education.
5th Grade: Lindsay Baker
Education background: I recently graduated from Benedictine College in Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education.
Favorite School Subject: My love teaching religion and geography.
My why for teaching: Teaching gives me the opportunity to help students love God, love learning, love others, and love themselves.
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I love the Saint Patrick's family. Everyone is willing to help each other out and lift each other up in positivity.

My why for teaching: I teach in a Catholic school because I love the integration of faith and science. I also love that the self-discipline and drive for excellence that translates into all areas in life - even math class!
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I love the small town, Catholic school feel. People step up when they are needed, and we make great things happen!

Education background: I am an Iowa State University graduate, go Cyclones. I graduated from Iowa State in May of 2014 with my degree in History and a minor in Political Science to get my secondary education degrees for 5-12 All Social Studies along with my K-12 Coaching endorsement.

My why for teaching: The reason I love teaching is I enjoy helping the students find success in the classroom. I want to help give them the opportunity to grow into life-long learners.
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I enjoy St. Patrick's School is because in this school it is a family. The students and staff work together to be the best they can be. I have felt welcomed in this family from the first day I arrived 5 years ago.

My why for teaching: I teach to be a role model for students and help them grow not only in academics but in life. I look at teaching past the outcomes of a test and want to focus on making the kids better people.
What you enjoy most about Saint Patrick's School: I enjoy the very welcoming staff and the smaller classes. It allows me to get the know the kids better and help them out even more. I also love the faith aspect because it allows me to continue to grow in my own faith.

We are able to connect lessons to Jesus & his parables. God is the thread that binds us all together & it’s felt throughout the day. We pray several times a day. It connects us all together & centers us.
