At St. Patrick's since: 2003

Father Polich was ordained on June 25, 1976 and came to St. Patrick's in 2003. He has been assigned to parishes in Des Moines, Harlan, Maloy, Mt. Ayr, Carlisle, Osceola, Milo, Lacona, and Rosemount, Iowa. While taking part in a program at Notre Dame, he was approached about the possibility of doing Hispanic ministry. After studying Spanish in Bolivia, Fr. Polich returned to Des Moines and was assigned to Visitation Church and Guadalupe Chapel in Des Moines prior to coming to Perry.

In addition to his parish assignments, Father Polich is very active in the community. He currently serves on the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal Panel, is Treasurer of the Perry Ministerial Association, and has been a board member of Catholic Peace Ministry since its inception in 1981. Previously he spent 11 years on the board of Catholic Charities, along with serving on a number of other ecumenical and social justice committees and councils.
